Thirty Years of Healthcare Storytelling.

Some careers find their focus gradually. Mine crystallized at MDVIP.

Their mission — helping people live happier, healthier lives — wasn't a tagline. It was the reason every video mattered. Physician education that made doctors better at their jobs. Patient communication that reduced anxiety and built trust. Clinical training that had to be right because wrong information at the point of care isn't just unhelpful — it's dangerous.

That's when I stopped thinking of myself as a video producer who worked in healthcare and started thinking of myself as someone whose work could genuinely help people. There's a difference. I've never gone back.

The Career, Briefly

I built LensCrafters' internal media department from the ground up — increasing output 200% in three years, launching an internship program, and producing content for 50,000 employees across LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Sunglass Hut, and the Luxottica brand portfolio. One of those years, I screened a Gift of Sight video for a Canon executive — footage of mission volunteers in the field, hearing things like "I've prayed to God to restore my sight. You are my angel." She cried. She wrote a check for $100,000.

Business author Joe Calloway featured LensCrafters prominently in his book Becoming a Category of One. In a personal note, he called the work masterful.

After Luxottica I went deep into healthcare. Fortune 500 clients at Multi Image Group — Pfizer, Ethicon, P&G. Medical content for the Lifetime Network's Access Health. Then a staff role at MDVIP, a national concierge medicine network, where I rebuilt their video department from concept through delivery — physician education, patient communication, clinical training, doctor recruitment, and general marketing.

In 2021 I moved back to Ohio to be closer to family. My father had a stroke. Some things matter more than Florida weather.

Since then, the focus has been independent healthcare media work — clients, full production lifecycle, every format. SecuLife. Baptist Health. Dr. Blatman Health and Wellness Institute. HIT! Show. Urology Health. The work keeps getting better.

What This Means For You

Thirty years in healthcare media means I know how physicians think, how patients feel, and how executives make decisions. I know what a CMO needs to see before they'll approve a budget, what a caregiver needs to hear before they'll trust a device, and what a patient needs to feel before they'll follow through.

I'm not learning your industry. I've been in it my entire career.

I'm a specialist — one experienced producer with a trusted network of collaborators, built specifically for healthcare. No account managers. No junior editors finding their footing on your project. You get the person whose name is on the door.

If that sounds like what you're looking for, let's talk.
